[ hopefully for Maya's sake, all of that's true! what Izaya counts on is that even when she or others he's poked some fun at start to expect certain actions of him, by that point he'll already know more than enough about them to completely overturn any sad retaliation. usually he doesn't have a problem... and it's not that he's expecting problems in this case either but she's definitely right that he's stepped over a certain line.
when it came to getting his way, pushing some sort of idea or thought onto someone else or whatever else in whatever other form of antagonism he felt like displaying, Izaya was most inclined to rely solely on his words. but he's human, too, you know. sometimes he gets impatient and sometimes he gets annoyed, even if those things won't come to the surface. most prominent though on a list of reasons he might act out, hypothetically speaking, is excitement. sure, he's completely clearheaded but impatience and excitement seem to go together well. if the prize is good enough, then he wants to know, to see more, so he keeps pushing and pushing until he either gets what he wants or something gets in his way.
she's not getting in his way. not in any significant way, at least. the only barrier is her hand against her chest, her nails barely holding on it with the last of her might and it's nothing less than his pleasure than to break that last defense. ]

Sorry, Maya-san, you can't escape.
[ and he doesn't mean from him. ]
