Even if the sentiment is unconscious and not exactly voiced, she's grateful he eventually decides to tell her additional things because she knew there was additional things going on here.]
So it was more than one person, who left you recently.
[What else is there to say to that?]
I'm very sorry. I'm here for you.

but the way she words her response seems to make the most sense to akira, even if he doesn't want to admit it. yeah, maybe he really does feel left behind.
or just really stupid for letting himself get that involved.
he doesn't... know what to reply with, though, when he reads that last sentence. she's... really something to even offer that to him with how little she knows him. he wants to feel skeptical, though, rather question if that's just him reading too much into it from what he knows of her so far (how would she probably say that if they were talking in person?). she's a really nice person, too, it could just be polite etiquette (not that akira would know since he's never been really polite to anyone in his life).
he really just wants to take it as text written with no meaning behind it. he's already feeling the constant sting of making the wrong decisions and losing what he can't ever seem to realize he may have had until it's slipped from his grasp. so, isn't it enough? keisuke, koujaku, aoba... he's done. really. even being generally interested in the well being of people he didn't have a strong attachment to and spend a lot of time with like aoba and koujaku such as tohru previously and now currently yuuki... it's too much frustration. he doesn't want any of it (and he never did so why did people try to give it to him only to abandon him in the end?). ]
Maya.
[ ...but he can't. he can't do that to her because nothing he's seen from her points to her as anything but sincere and loving. for a second something tingles around his shoulders, neck and just under his jawline and he wonders if this is what it was like to have a sister. older or younger, they seemed to give the utmost care and love without expectation.
so he types what he probably couldn't ever say, and maybe it isn't sufficient (because it's not), but he needs to try. ]
Thank you.
Really.

She can be kind of his Big Sis, like she's been to so many others.
It's easy for her to take on that role, just as it's easy -- if uncommon -- for her to take his thank you full on right now.]
You're welcome.
[He might be surprised how many people outside of himself, people stronger and more loving and weaker and possibly even more secluded, benefit from hearing those four little words.
"I'm here for you."]
