[ well maybe when he becomes an adult he will be better at coping with these things. he hopes. someday.

there's a long pause while he tries to gather his thoughts, what he wants to say and how to say it. he feels guilty for taking it without asking—even if it did have his name on it god why—and feels guiltier for doing something they've always been told is Bad and would ruin their lives.
